Love in London

The good news is She Said yes..!

We provided live coverage of this touching Valentines event, which was meticulously well organised by The Proposers , Seasoned Events which arranged exclusive use of the iconic venue, and Tower Hotel which threw in a riverside table and a bottle of bubbly, combining their forces to prepare the amazing surprise proposal, working with Tom to add unique personal touches.

Tom Brimble met and fell in love with Alex Wasowicz two years previously, they’d recently bought a beautiful French Bulldog puppy, and Tom felt it was now the perfect time to propose. Fate played its hand as Tom had just left Hatton Garden where he’d been designing a bespoke engagement ring for his girlfriend when he spotted the #LoveinLondon promotion and realised it was an opportunity too good to miss.

The event started with Tom tricking Alex with surprise free tickets for a tour of Tower Bridge. Everything was in place to whisk Tom away, whilst ushering an unsuspecting Alex into place at the end of the West Walkway.  With everything in place and Tom poised with the ring in his pocket. Alex stepped through a velvet curtain to find the walkway romantically lit and covered in rose petals and hundreds of twinkling candlelights. Alex began her walk towards Tom, and was shocked to find that the other ‘tourists’ on the bridge were in fact members of The Academy of Contemporary Music's ACM Electron Choir, who turned around and began singing her and Tom’s favourite song ‘Stand by Me’ handing her special flowers and notes along the way. On reaching the heart-shaped centrepiece of the walkway in floods of tears and laughter, Tom dropped to one knee, revealed the gorgeous diamond, set into Alex’s favourite rose gold and popped the all-important question.

It’s fair to say there was much relief all round when Alex gave a joyful yes!  With champagne corks popped and glasses were raised to the happy couple. Alex excitedly remarked; “This is possibly the best thing that’s happened ever! I’ll never forget this, I’ll think about it every day. I’ll think about this every time I see Tower Bridge. I just spoke to my mum and she said he’s done so well and my friends have messaged me to say they have seen me on TV”. When asked how he was feeling proposer Tom said, “I’m just so happy and I’ve got to say a big thanks to the team for all this”.
