Every Saturday, Dennis Grinstead, an engineer from London Central and General’s Merton garage, swaps his overalls for a pair of moccasins, his bus for a horse, his greying hair for a long black wig and heads down the A24 to his weekend tepee. He becomes Wolf, the only Apache bus driver in South London, and the only Apache at Deadwood.
Dennis can be a naughty Apache. After fortifying himself with a swig of firewater, he steals money from the town bank. After a chase through the woods he’s soon caught by the sheriff and his men and locked away in the town gaol. Wolf is ever hopeful that his Apache friends will one day come and rescue him.
