Bringing Palestine and Jews together through music

Voices That Wander is a concert of traditional and new songs in Ladino, the UNESCO endangered language of Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews.

They fled Spain in the Middle Ages where many ended up settling in North Africa and the Middle East.

It will also feature a collaborative project from Palestinian composer Saied Silbak and British Jewish composer Ana Silvera, celebrating the connection of the music from the two cultures.

Nora has been speaking to the creator of Sunday evening’s show at the Clapton Round Chapel, Lydia Samuels.
