Meet The Messengers: The band giving London’s homeless a voice.

Having been physically separated since November 2019, The Messengers are excited to be back together.

On Saturday 26 June, the group, made up of students from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and people affected by homelessness will hold their first live performance since the start of the pandemic.

The initiative was developed by the social enterprise MetamorPhonics and until recently the group has had more than 30 members. Around two dozen will return to create and perform original music at St John’s church as part of the Waterloo Festival.

The artistic director, Sigrun Sævarsdóttir-Griffiths explains more.
