Charlie Mullins considering music and politics after Pimlico Plumbers sale

The Pimlico Plumbers founder Charlie Mullins says he’s working on building a new music business after selling his stake in the plumbing company.

It was confirmed this week that the US home services firm Neighborly had acquired Mr Mullins’ 90 percent stake in the company, which he set up in 1979.

He said the deal had been worth more than £125 million, but that he wasn’t ‘ready for retirement’.

The entrepreneur says he is also considering running for the 2024 Mayoral election. He considered running in this year’s race but withdrew because of other business commitments.
