Comedian Daliso Chaponda returns to the London stage

Comedian Daliso Chaponda has said the pandemic has provided a rich vein of humour to tap into when it comes to writing his set – as audiences begin to return to theatres.

Daliso first found fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, achieving third place.

He’s had continued success on television and nabbed a spot in the line up for The Royal Variety Performance last year, in front of a virtual audience.

Daliso is coming to the Underbelly Festival in Cavendish Square for a performance on the 21st of July, with isolation and mental health inspirations for new jokes.

I spoke with him about lockdown life for a comedian and his optimism for the future.
