Less than 33% of kids in London can identify courgette
Children from 12 primary schools across the capital were at Borough Market today selling fruits and vegetables that they’ve grown themselves.
It’s part of an initiative the market do to help raise the kids’ awareness of where their food comes from and how to cook it.
It’s after research showed that less than a third of kids know what a courgette or a beetroot looked like.
Brydie Monaghan went down to the market to see how the kids were getting along and find out what tips and tricks they’d picked up from the local market traders.
