Giving the gift of music, the online platform set up during lockdown

As the capital begins to reopen we have been speaking to Londoners  who set up businesses from their own homes during the pandemic or had to drastically change the way they work to survive.

With the hope of cheering up one of their grandmothers, this London couple reached out to a musician friend and organised a surprise online performance for her 83rd Birthday.

Simone Girardeau and Steffen Hoyemsvoll then realised they wanted to connect people with music and also support their musician friends who were struggling during lockdown.

They launched ‘Lockdown Presents’ an online platform connecting professional musicians with private audiences for intimate virtual concerts.

Tanya has been speaking to Simone about how the idea has flourished into a business.
