Only 6% of British people can speak a second language, a new study finds

New research has now put weight behind the belief that British people’s linguistic skills are somewhat lacking. According to a study for a language learning app, just 6% of British people are bilingual, despite a third of us growing up in a household where more than the mother tongue was spoken. Alicia spoke to the Youtube twins The SuperPolyGlot Bros, who between them have mastered 25 different languages.
