Robbie Savage on Qatar World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo controversy & grassroots football funding

Local sports clubs in the capital have a chance to win a £10,000 lump sum as part of a new scheme.

Launched in 2021, the Proud To Pitch In scheme allows grassroots sports clubs to apply for 3 thousand pounds – however to celebrate the year anniversary, a one-off lump sum of £10,000 is being made available to clubs.

According to new research from Greene King, the Women’s Euros win has inspired a surge in grassroots sports participation, and Robbie Savage is backing the campaign.

Joining James, the former Premier League star and Wales International, who is now household name as a pundit and Director of Macclesfield town FC, they also touched on the upcoming world cup in Qatar and his thoughts on Cristiano Ronaldo who said in a shock interview with Piers Morgan that he feels betrayed by current club Manchester United.
