Poet marks 5 years since the closure of Holloway Prison

This month marks the 5th Anniversary of the closure of Holloway Prison, which housed women and young offenders from 1852 until 2016 when the prison closed for good.

Natalie Scott’s book is a collection of poems which put the spotlight on the stories of its prisoners and workers.

Rare Birds: Voices of Holloway Prison is out now.

    London charity Coram Voice returned with its annual creative writing competition for young children in care. In its 5th year the event hoped to give the vulnerable children a chance to express their voice through poetry, prose raps or articles with a 500 word limit.
