Fears of a rise in homelessness as government pandemic support comes to an end

The homeless charity Crisis say that with the end to government pandemic support this month the UK could see an epidemic of homelessness.

They say half of people in London struggled to pay bills during the pandemic and two-fifths in the capital are struggling to pay for their mobile phone bill and their Wi-fi bill.

They’ve teamed up with Tesco mobile for a new campaign highlighting the importance of having access to an internet connection or owning a mobile phone, now seen as an essential in everyday life.

James spoke with Jon the CEO of the charity about that and the fears he has as we move out of the pandemic.
