One person a minute affected with little known condition Encephalitis

Today is World Encephalitis Day – and if that is a condition that you can’t quite place – you’re not alone.

According to the organisation which works to help those with it, more than three quarters of us know very little about the often fatal neurological issue.

The illness can leave survivors with an array of effects including permanent brain injury.

Dr Ava Easton is the Chief Executive of the Encephalitis Society and spoke to Anthony earlier.
