Toothbrushing initiative in primary schools aims to tackle tooth decay

Since 2012, local authorities have been responsible for improving health in their local London boroughs – however, shocking statistics show that a quarter of 5-year-olds in London have tooth decay.

In order to remember to keep oral health on the agenda, Members of the London Assembly Health Committee visited Brentfield Primary School in West London, to observe supervised toothbrushing – an initiative to reduce tooth decay in young children.
