16 boroughs to host the 2021 EFG London Jazz Festival

The EFG London Jazz Festival will return for its first in-person edition this month, since the pandemic.

The 29th annual event will see hundreds of shows take place in venues across the capital, with organisers saying more than 16 boroughs will host performances.

Last year’s festival was moved online because of the pandemic.

This year’s opening gala will take place on 12 November at the Royal Festival Hall. There will also be a night dedicated to the late Tony Allen – a retrospective curated by Damon Albarn, Ben Okri, Femi Koleoso and Remi Kabaka.

Anthony has been speaking to the Festival’s Director of Programming.

The 29th EFG London Jazz Festival runs 12-21 November 2021
