Emma Raducanu appears in Beano special
The London tennis star Emma Raducanu has joined a host of sportsmen and women from the UK to appear in a special edition of the Beano.
The children’s magazine has featured Raducanu, alongside the likes of England and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Olympic diver Matty Lee, to honour what it says was a ‘golden summer’ of sport.
The comic also notes some of the biggest news and viral moments of 2021 – including the Suez Canal blockage, and the parish council zoom meeting which made Jackie Weaver a household name.
