London’s annual international contemporary dance festival, the Dance Umbrella, goes hybrid
It’s an event that’s been running for 45 years and has provided a platform for performers to go on and achieve big things – and now London’s annual international contemporary dance festival, the Dance Umbrella, has moved into the modern era.
Like many of our working lives, this year’s festival is going hybrid – with some live performances and some only available to watch online.
The event showcases hip hop culture, performance art and audio-visual experiences from artists originating from a range of places – Cameroon, Greece, South Africa, Taiwan, and of course, here in London.
London Live’s Paul has been catching up with artistic director Freddie to find out more.
