New giant artwork at Brent Cross Town hopes to become north London’s next landmark
The newly regenerated area of Brent Cross Town has been given a landmark piece of art, catching the eyes of millions of Londoners as they travel past on the nearby highways and rail lines.
The giant brightly coloured structure stands 21m tall – higher than the Angel of the North – and wraps around a sustainable energy substation that will provide electricity to 6,700 new homes nearby.
Artist Lakwena designed and developed the piece alongside IF_DO Architects – she told Paul more.
