New statue unveiled in Hanover Square to mark the completion of the redevelopment

A new statue has been unveiled marking the formal completion of the Hanover Square redevelopment in the West End.

The major work by the Royal Academy’s Sean Scully is the artist’s first permanently installed sculpture in the capital.

It reinvents Hanover Square as a pedestrianised space and has a new Elizabeth Line entrance for Bond Street.

We went down to the unveiling to speak to those behind the project.
