The Design Museum prepares for re-opening

The Kensington museum has spoken of the strain that successive lockdowns have placed on its finances.

To allow for a safe reopening next month, the predominantly self-funded institution says it has also had to completely rethink its operation.

One of the new offerings to the public is a ‘Supermarket’ which sells everything from facemasks, to beans with packaging designed by artists.

Museum Director, Josephine Chantner has been telling Alicia Edwards more about the plans.

The Design Museum will be re-opening to the public on the 18th of May.
