The Immersive audio installation on the Strand Aldwych
The VoiceLine by artist Nick Ryan is the first artist commission for the new Strand Aldwych public space.
It’s a unique instrument for voice, sound, music, and audio storytelling, shaped by the new site and spanning the the full 170m area.
A programme of bespoke audio works will be created for a daily schedule, between 08.00 – 20.00, creating an evolving pathway of sound delivered by a line of 39 highly focused speakers.
Nick spoke to us – as did Katherine from The Northbank BID, who commissioned the project.
