Why the medieval tipple of Mead is making a big comeback in the capital

The age old alcoholic beverage of mead is experiencing a renaissance.

Thought to be the first ever alcoholic beverage, invented nearly 10 thousand years ago, the honey based drink heralded as the “nectar of the Gods” is making its way into London’s bars and restaurants in different ways.

To try and convince our very own presenter James Dickman that mead deserves its day in the sun again was James Lambert – who makes and sells the drink.

He brought some samples for James to try.
