What does the Queen’s death mean for bank notes and coins?

Welcome back – Now there are more than 4.7 million banknotes in the UK with Queen Elizabeth II’s face on them, money that will slowly have to be withdrawn from circulation, replaced with cash featuring the portrait of King Charles III.

Simon Narbeth is a notaphilist and joined James to talk through how this will happen. Simon brought in countless notes from his own personal collection from here and around the world through the years including the very first 1 pound note to be circulated featuring the Queens image.
