Alexandra Palace 150th anniversary celebrations
Ally Pally is turning 150 years old this year and to celebrate the iconic palace is throwing a free party.
It was originally opened with the purpose of providing entertainment and years later it has stuck by it’s ethos and has hosted many a festival, gig, fireworks display and screening.
It was also the birthplace of the world’s first regular television station with it being the original home of the BBC. Well Simon spoke to Emma Dagnes, the CEO of the charitable trust that runs the palace and is hosting the big birthday bash on the 27th May.
