Rise in school leavers who want to ‘swerve’ university
With students getting their A-level results on 10 August, one study suggests the proportion of them wanting to go straight into the world of work, as opposed to university, has increased.
Research by the apprenticeship organisation Fast Futures suggests the rise is directly linked to the pandemic and debt.
