Battersea Dogs and Cats celebrate 140 years of helping London’s pets
Are you a dog or a cat person?
A South London institution at the heart of the capital’s pet welfare is celebrating their 140th anniversary of caring for the country’s cats.
The iconic Battersea Dogs and Cats Home has been around since the early nineteenth century but took on their first feline residents in the 1860s.
Since then, they’ve worked tirelessly taking in and caring for over a quarter of a million cats.
Henry has been speaking to the centre about the milestone.
