Children’s books cherished by Londoners
The Harry Potter books are cherished by many Londoners, and no wonder why – as new research by The Works shows 5% of us remember reading one of JK Rowling’s wizarding stories as the first book they read.
The research also looked at the first books parents read to their children – a list dominated by entries from London author Julia Donaldson, with The Gruffalo coming out on top.
