Commemorating the London 7/7 bombing victims 17 years on

This month is the anniversary of the 7/7 bombings. 17 years ago today 4 bombs were detonated, one on a bus on Tavistock Square, a train at Russell Square, a train at Aldgate and a train at Edgware Road which caused the death of 52 people.

Gary Hayes founded the non-for-profit organisation PTSD999 after past experiences he had witnessed while in the police service which left him with agonising PTSD.

Gary led the team on that fateful day of the London 7/7 bombings which helped identify the deceased from the four bomb scenes. He spoke to James about his experiences that day, his life after, as well as the importance of getting men to open up about previous trauma.

A warning, this interview contains accounts from that day in 2005 that some may find distressing
