Divorce rates in London spike a year on from No Fault Divorce law
London is the divorce capital of the world – and Thursday April 6, marks the one-year anniversary of the landmark no-fault divorce law that removed the requirement for specific behaviour or wrongdoing by a party to be required for couples to split.
The change has seen the number of divorces spike considerably in the last year.
Whether that’s a good thing or not is up for debate but Rita Gupta, a family lawyer, has been chatting to James about how its changed the landscape of relationships in the capital.
