Duncan Goodhew calls on UK Government to step in amid pool closures

Now Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew has called on the government to help save London’s community pools amid fears that many face closure due to the energy crisis.

The Olympic swimmer spoke out as leisure leaders warned a wave of shutdowns could be imminent. It comes as the government have decided to remove swimming pools from a list of vulnerable sports meaning they will loose certain funding and discounts.

Tanya spoke to Duncan about the issue and how he hopes today, which is the Big Swim Day encourages the public to demand more support for the sector.
