Evening Standard’s ‘On The Breadline’ Christmas Appeal reaches £3m in donations so far
On Tuesday the 22nd of November ago we announced the start of the Evening Standard and Independent’s Christmas appeal called On the Breadline – to encourage Londoners to give what they can to a number of charities helping people struggling with the cost of living crisis, this festive period.
If you’ve picked up a paper since you may have seen some of the incredibly powerful case studies written up that give insight into just how stark the situation is getting for so many across the capital.
Doug Wills, Editor Emeritus at the Evening Standard joined James to recap the successes so far, speak on some of the stories we’ve heard from families feeling the impact, discuss the final 3 weeks of the appeal – and how you can help.
