Events which led to the Boston Tea Party sparking American Revolution marked with event by the Thames
A huge day in British-American history was marked by the River Thames on September 27 marking 250 years since British ships left for the American colonies of the British Empire carrying East India Company tea – which would ultimately be destroyed in protest upon the ships’ arrival in Boston in December i.e. The Boston Tea Party!
It sparked the American Revolution, all because of some fury over a British tea tax.
The events been more politely recognised in 2023 as The East India Company donated 250lbs of tea to Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum to make its way to be dumped in the Boston Harbour on the 16th of December, like it was in 1773.
