Fostering Fortnight: One family share their heart-warming fostering story

Geraldine Roseberry has been caring for foster children in Redbridge for over 23 years, fostering more than a hundred children in her Newbury Park home.

She took part in Fostering Fortnight which aims to raise awareness of the importance of fostering.

It comes as recent data by the Social Market Foundation – an independent public policy think-tank based in London – revealed that England faces a shortfall of 25,000 foster families by 2026.

London Live also spoke to the leader of Redbridge council Cllr Jas Athwal about the importance of foster carers like Geraldine.

Here’s Geraldine and her foster daughter Emma’s heart-warming story.
