‘If I was still a gambling addict in lockdown… I wouldn’t still be here’

During the pandemic, nearly every area of society has been affected from health to business.

But with professional football being one of the only constants throughout the last year, one charity believes there will be a new wave of potential gambling addicts.

Working towards ending betting advertisement and sponsorship in football, former addict and Founder of the The Big Step charity, James Grimes has been speaking to Henry about the potential ramifications.

The Gambling Commission has launched a public consultation on whether or not more needs to be done to identify those customers at risk.

If you are struggling there is help and advice please go to Gamblers Anonymous with more information on the NHS website.
