Jenny Ryan on the importance of being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community
It’s Pride Month but new data revealed fewer than a third of Brits think their workplace adequately supports the LGBTQ+ community.
The research was conducted by the retailer and brewer ‘Greene King’ and whilst it showed more needed to be done when it comes to employer support, the stats also showed strong support for the LGBTQ+ community across the UK, with 42% of Brits saying they consider themselves an ‘ally’ to the community.
London Live spoke to TV personality Jenny Ryan whose been raising awareness about the importance of being an ally and she has some advice for those who want to show their support to the LGBTQ+ community.
