London Assembly: Unregulated E-bikes and E-scooters pose immediate danger to Londoners
Unregulated E-bikes and E-scooters are an immediate danger to Londoners. That’s according to the London Assembly’s Fire Committee.
They’ve written to the government raising serious concerns over the regulation of the devices following an increasing number of lithium-ion battery related fires.
Three people have died with 51 injured this year alone – with the London Fire Brigade called out every other day to deal with a fire started by either an e-bike or an e-scooter.
The chair of the committee, Anne Clarke AM has been speaking to London Live about the seriousness of the issue.
