London Live Reports: How can Pharmacies ease the burden on NHS?

How often do you use your pharmacy? Probably when you need medication right? But are we fully getting the most out of our pharmacies?

According to new research, 1.6 million visit daily but many of us have misconceptions about procedures and advice they offer.

A third wrongly assume counter assistants have no training in the use of medicine and a half of us see a pharmacy as a retail environment, rather than a healthcare one.

In a time when the NHS is under serious pressure, London Live’s Henry Thomas-Aldridge looks into why pharmacies are still an untapped resource.

You can go to the NHS website to find the best fitting service for your needs, and you can of course search for your local pharmacy too.
