Mother of Richard Okorogheye appeals for members of the black community to give blood after sons death

The mother to Richard Okorogheye Evidence Joel encourage members of the black community to give blood and try and raise awareness about Sickle Cell disease.

Richard was a 19-year-old student who was reported missing in March only for his body to be found two weeks later in Epping Forest, after reporting of struggling with life in isolation, shielding because of his disease.

Richard would only leave his home in Ladbroke Grove to get blood transfusions in hospital.

Evidence has made a new blood donation campaign video with the hashtag #bondedbyblood.

She joined James to speak about the issue and pay tribute to Richard.
