New Tower Lifeboat Station
If you’ve been walking along the North bank of the River Thames in Central London – you may have noticed a new RNLI Lifeboat station.
The new Tower Lifeboat Station has just opened up – adding new facilities and replacing the old station that was at Victoria Embankment for 20 years before it.
It’s a new lease of life for a lifeboat station that has just marked a major milestone – exceeding ten thousand lifeboat callouts since it started operations in 2002.
London Live went down to film the new station and bring you the story.
