‘Prophet Song’ by Paul Lynch with Booker Prize 2023
The Booker Prize is one of the most prestigious fiction writing prizes and this year’s winner is the book Prophet Song by Irish writer Paul Lynch.
He joined London Live to tell us in his words what the book is about, how world events like the crisis in Syria played a part in raising questions for him he sought to answer in his writing and how despite the book resonating with readers and judges at this moment in time in history,
Paul says he’s not political but rather he writes to seek out certain truths, he’s been speaking to Sara Firth.
