Regulation called for over Financial-Influencer videos on social media
There are many videos popping up on social media nowadays of celebrities, or perhaps unknown but persuasive characters, giving financial advice in short sharp ads.
Often the are offering advice and financial training courses that give the viewer the idea they can get rich quick, be it through trading schemes or bitcoin.
They’ve been dubbed ‘Finfluencers’: financial-influencers – and one London based body wants them regulated.
Paddy an academic dean from the London Academy of Trading wants anyone giving online advice to have a certificate of qualification.
