Single renter prices up by 52% since 2020

The homeless charity ‘Glass Door’ has launched an urgent appeal this summer amid the cost of living crisis, calling for help from the community to raise funds to provide essential support for those at risk of losing their home.

This appeal by the London based charity follows new statistics from ‘Amnesty’ that found one in three people in the country fear becoming homeless in the next five years.

Statistics also show since March 2020, rents for single renters in London have increased by 52%, making the homeless situation worse.

Well Hebe spoke to a London based case worker about the appeal, and how to get involved.
