The campaign to ban trophy hunting continues

The Government has had a continued manifesto commitment to ban UK imports of trophy hunting kills – a form of animal hunting for sport in which parts of wild animals are kept and displayed as so-called ‘trophies’.

Tomorrow will see MPs debate the bill set to ban imports to the UK, yet despite cross-party backing and large celebrity support, there are fears enough MPs may not turn up to place their vote.

Helena spoke to actor and long-term animal rights campaigner Peter Egan, who set up The Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting in 2018.
