The effects of mask wearing on the deaf community
A new campaign has been launched to raise awareness of the impact wearing masks has on the deaf community, especially those who rely on lipreading to communicate.
We’ve been speaking to Amy Morton who launched the initiative and who has lost most of her hearing in both ears. She hopes to spread information and advice and promote the government tools available to help through her campaign ‘Clarity in Communication’.
