The Urban Birder on how birds can thrive in the big city
David Lindo, also known as The Urban Birder, says his love of birds was almost innate.
He grew up in busy London, always fascinated not just with nature, but big concrete jungles too. He always wanted to know more about big city birds in big city environments.
He spoke to Simon about how urban environments can help them thrive – even away from the countryside.
It comes after the end of last weekends Big Garden Birdwatch – where Britons are encouraged to could birds for their own enjoyment, and to help with conservation efforts.
