We need to use ‘common sense’ to reduce our food waste, says Too Good To Go co-founder

Shocking new figures show almost 20 million food items are thrown out every single day in the UK.

London is the worst when it comes to throwing away food solely based on the best before date.

For Stop Food Waste Day today, Too Good To Go, are highlighting the impact this is having.

They want Londoners to go back to basics – with the look, smell, taste test.

To talk us through the severity of the current levels of food waste and how to improve them, I spoke to the companies co-founder, Jamie Crummie.
