World-first London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge raises money for charity

Could you run up 42 flights of stairs? That’s the question for this weekend’s London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge.

The event – the first of its kind in the world – will see 850 people scale over a thousand steps of The Cheesegrater, before a jaw-dropping abseil back down it – or, if you’re feeling up to a bigger challenge, a zipwire across London’s skyline to The Gherkin.

Helping to raise vital funds for the charity Tommy’s, Archie Hunter is taking part in the tower run. London Live spoke to him, as well as the event director, Rachel Hodson.
