Young people using dance to call for action on Climate Justice in Lewisham
1,000 young people from Lewisham and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance are performing in a large-scale performance to demand action on the climate emergency.
Called Hope 4 Justice, it’s part of the initiative: We Are Lewisham, which is this year’s London Borough of Culture.
James spoke with the choreographer of the event and London’s former Young Poet Laureate – Cecilia Knapp who will be performing alongside the dance.
She asked the children involved to offer up their own poetry about climate justice.
Those two performances are taking place next month at Mountsfield Park – on June 18.
