Meet the comedian bringing ‘Clean Comedy’ to the capital

Stand up comedy might have an arguable reputation for being crude, lewd and full of adult humour.

But one comedian thinks there’s an untapped niche for clean humour, which has the added benefit of making the routines family friendly.

Comedian Dave Chawner is no slouch when it comes to racier, more hard hitting stuff, but he found that some of his earlier shows portraying ‘Clean Comedy’ were a far bigger hit than anticipated, so he’s bringing a show to London.

He says, trying to keep stand up comedy routines clean, forces him to work harder and be more creative.

‘Clean Comedy’ takes place this Saturday at the Bill Murray Theatre, at the family friendly time of 3pm.
