BBC leave the Diversity Programme over concerns of ‘Impartiality’

The BBC has made the decision to leave a Diversity Programme from the LGBT+ charity Stonewall, due to concerns over ‘impartiality’ when reporting on transgender rights. Some transgender people however are pushing back, asking why their rights are a matter of debate. Charlie Craggs, a BBC Three presenter and author spoke to Helena about the effect of the BBC’s decision, and what she hopes this year’s Transgender Awareness Week will achieve.
